Vitamin Supplements

Vitamin Supplements should not be necessary for a healthy person with a good diet. If you believe you have a nutrient deficiency, please book a consultation

If you have been recommended a supplement, here are some of the best, food based vitamins available, without lots of fillers and sugars added.

Vitamins are listed in alphabetical order.

Vitamin A

It is important that vitamin A is consumed in the correct ratio with vitamin D and other micro nutrients and this is best achieved with a fermented Cod liver oil.
Capsules are the easiest to consume

Liquid is better value, but has a rather unpleasant taste.

B Vitamins

Vitamin B Complex
Vitamin B3 Niacin

Vitamin B12

Vitamin C

Vitamin C Tablets

Vitamin C Powder

Vitamin D

This is best consumed in a good ratio with vitamin A and other micro nutrients found in Fermented Cod Liver Oil. Please see vitamin A above.

Vitamin E

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is best consumed in a high vitamin butter oil. The Fermented Cod Liver Oil suggested for vitamin A at the beginning of this page has high vitamin butter oil included, but you can also buy it as an individual supplement below.

Probiotics

The general probiotic supplements I recommend are Bio-Kult as suggested by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride in her book Gut and Psychology Syndrome.

All Bio-Kult probiotics are shelf stable for up to two years and do not need to be refrigerated.

Bio- Kult Infantis for babies

From Bio-kult standard

Bio-Kult Candea

Bio-kult Pro-cyan designed specifically for UTIs

For those working in healthcare, or with specific concerns related to Candida or Clostridium Difficile (c.Diff) I also recommend taking a probiotic supplement with the specific strain Saccharomyces Boulardii.
